1998: Rescued & New-homed Alaskan Malamutes

These Alaskan Malamutes and other dogs found their new homes through TAMR assistance. Most dogs are TAMR adoptions, while others (not all listed here) found new homes by help provided to private individuals, other rescue organizations, and local shelters. TAMR is very happy to have all these dogs find permanent homes with loving and responsible owners.

1998 Adoptions:

Kahuna	M 6yr	Victim of divorce. Gets along great with everyone including kids, other dogs and cats. Obedience trained and well behaved. Now in east Texas and is able to accompany his new owner to work.
Sam	M 7yr	Very laid back & affectionate gentleman. Crate and house trained, good with cats and an easy keeper. Enjoys going for walks, rides in the car, and snuggling. Now the indoor companion to his work at home dad in Fredericksburg.
Semora	F 5yrs	Owner turn-in & fostered by owner. Obedience trained, gentle and loving with people, and generally a happy girl. She is now living with her new owners in Louisiana. She is a great companion for their young son and sleeps on the foot of his bed.
Kayla	F 5yrs	Owner turn in. Initially very shy and wary of change, but warms to a very sweet, gentle and loving dog who is good with children. Transferred to a sister AMPL rescue for adoption with her new family.
Jake	M	Found in Bryan/College Station area. Housebroken and ok on leash. Good around other dogs but was escape artist needing a secure fence. Now Jake is happy and spends all his time with his favorite human. He and his new owner simply adore each other.
Blaze	M 1yr	Owner turn in. Good natured, playful dog who loves toys and good with cats. Originally an apartment dog who was paper trained! Now happily living in Dallas and has caused his owner to be banned from pizza deliveries due to theft.. but that's another story!
Hugo	M 18mo	Shelter dog from west Texas. Sweet natured, very large and friendly. Facilitated rescue through the shelter. Hugo now lives as a beloved house dog. He also has an indoor doghouse with his own personal silk pillow!
Keh'lar	F	Owner turn-in and named after a Klingon character from Star Trek. Now living in Austin and doing well with her adopted mom. Very affectionate, but doesn't like other female dogs. Both now help in rescuing other mals in need.
Nanook	F 6yrs	Owner turn-in due to a fight with spouse's dog and the owner was bitten by the other dog. Nanook is a happy, friendly and gentle house dog who loves to play ball. She is doing well in her new home.
Cedar	M	Friendly and affectionate boy. Now living in the Dallas area with his new family. The family is so impressed with Cedar that they now help the Dallas rescue.

Nanook	M	Very nice looking, good with people and most other dogs. Soft coated woolly of medium length. Calm, affectionate, reasonably obedient.

Scout	M	Owner turn in to a local shelter with companion Siberian. Adopters of the Sibe returned to adopt Scout. They are together again!
Dylan	M 1yr	Found as stray and later adopted by the family that found & fostered him. He is good with their children and other dogs. An affectionate boy and a real snuggle bunny.
Cutie II	F 3yr	Cutie was passed around to several homes after the original owner's divorce. Despite inconsistent handling, she is sweet, affectionate, and trusting of people. Energetic, athletic and endlessly playful. She does well with other dogs and loves being a house dog.
Sampson	M 18mo	One of four litter mates turned in by owner. Very sweet and loving, he was timid of his new surroundings at first and missed his sister, Saskia. Sampson now lives with his new sister Roxy and is the beloved companion to his new owners in New York.
Saskia	F 18mo	One of four litter mates turned in by owner. Shy and gentle, she adapted well to her new life outside the pack. She lives happily in Virginia with her new family and is now called Georgianna!
Lasco	M 18mo	One of four litter mates turned in by owner. Intelligent, friendly and the most self confident of the four. He now happily shares a house with two small dogs and his new owner in Houston.
Cutie	F 18mo	One of four litter mates turned in by owner. Stressed by her change in life style and separation from her littermates, she would escape any crate she was put in. Now happily settled into her new home and doing very well.

Big Red	F 4yr	Abandoned puppy mill dog. Suspected mother of Austin & Elgin. Large, loving and very gentle. A very impressive girl! Now lives happily in Dallas with her new owner.

Sugarbear	F	11/97 - ?	Owner turn-in due to trouble with the neighbor's rabbits. Friendly affectionate and talkative. Not at all spoiled, she has learned to demand her favorite cookies from store clerks. She and her new family help rescue in the Dallas area.
Dakota	M	? - 9/97	Adopted out of state and transferred. Beautiful woolly with excellant temperament.
Petunia	F 10mo	10/97 - ?	Stray found by Austin shelter and abandoned by her owner when contacted. Shaved, submissive & neglected, she blossomed into a playful and beautiful girl.
Koda	M 4yrs	8/97 - 9/97	Stray in shelter and scheduled for euthanasia before rescue. Mellow, talkative and friendly mal. Now living in Austin enjoying the life of a couch potato and stealing the covers off the bed when his new owner tries to sleep in.
