2008: Happy Tails & New-homed Alaskan Malamutes

These Alaskan Malamutes and other dogs found their new homes through TAMR assistance. Most dogs are TAMR adoptions, while others (not all listed here) found new homes by help provided to private individuals, other rescue organizations, and local shelters. TAMR is very happy to have all these dogs find permanent homes with loving and responsible owners.

Tiro	M Adult	Tiro is a large and friendly boy with longer coat and lovely dark coloring. He is gentle, well mannered, easy to handle, and enjoys being with people of all ages. Tiro is friendly with most dogs, but not suited for homes with dominant male dogs or small pets.

Coyote TAMR assisted private adoption!	M Young	Very large young Mal boy with easy temperament. Coyote needs a new home due to recent family changes. He loves people and does fairly well on a leash but needs additional obedience training. He is fully vetted and on heartworm preventative. Gets along with most other dogs, is house trained, and does well in the yard! He is just a typical big goober pup. Tootsie (Anya) TAMR assisted private adoption!	F Young	Young little siberian husky girl, lost and unclaimed. The good folks who found her and took her in despite facing a major family crisis. Tootsie is housetrained, crate trained, up to date on her shots and heartworm negative. She is playful, gets along with other dogs and has played well with children. Tootsie is very sweet and likes to be with her human pack. Special Note: Tootsie has been diagnosed with Juvenile Cataracts. She has no signs of vision impairment at this time but could eventually need surgery to repair.
Bowie	M Young	Very gentle young boy who loves to snuggle and give smooches. Happy, inquisitive, and loves adventure. Good with most dogs, but NO cats! Needs a secure fence if bored. Prefers active home with companion or family members.
Kamea	M Young	Stray found near Ship Channel after Ike. Kamea is a very striking 3 year old male. His coat is a "splash" of color due to the random markings. Sweet, low key and big boy! May need calmer home. Kamea is Hawaiian for "the one and only". He was given this name for his unusual markings and look.
Sam	M Young	Sam is young boy who is house and crate trained. He likes to play with other dogs but can be a little rough since he's bigger; he loves kids.
Perry Bear (Kimo)	M Adult	Found stray and new owners moved. Big friendly guy who loves to talk. Good in yard and with most friendly dogs, and possibly some small dogs.
Nikita	F Young	Large young Malamute girl who enjoys company and does well with most larger dogs. House trained, friendly, affectionate, and playful.
Quiana (Nala)	F Young	Very sweet and gentle little girl. Enjoys human company and good around most friendly dogs. May need a secure fence if bored and left alone too long.
Wolfee	M Adult	Older gentleman who just needs a loving home. Wolfee is friendly, gentle, and healthy.
Hayley	F Senior	Friendly, calm natured and easy going girl. Hayley likes everyone and is a happy snuggler. She is easy to handle, housetrained, and will talk when there is something important to say? Good with cats and most friendly dogs regardless of size or sex.
Buri	M Young	Pretty and young boy with easy manners and gentle soul. Possibly treated harshly and prefers a calm, loving home with a friendly companion. Available for special adoption.
Taska	F Young	Cute and active young girl with a happy attitude. Loves snuggles, smooches, and people of all ages. Good around some other dogs and some cats.
Simi	F Adult	Beautiful girl with a lovely temperament. She is crate, leash, and house trained. Great with kids, good manners, and even does well with cats! Simi is picky about her dog pals and will do best as an only dog or with an easy going male companion.
Loki	M Adult	Beautiful red headed boy with a confident nature. Very intelligent and fast learner. Mindful to folks he respects, active boy, and loves to talk. Needs an experienced home and dog savvy owner.
Vega	M Senior	Active, soft tempered and gentle boy who adores people of all ages. Does well around most dogs and enjoys play, but also likes to pester cats. Needs a stable home with a dog companion and solid fence.
Chuchito	M Adult	Friendly boy dumped by owner after losing all his home buddies. Easy temperament, loving and gentle, and does well with most dogs. Just a total sweetie! Will do well with a home companion or loving home.

Amy	F Adult	A very sweet and gentle girl with a happy loving personality. Great inside and well behaved. Friendly with people of all ages and other dogs, travels well, house trained, and easy about her food. A lovely and playful girl who is easily mistaken for a pup!
Glacier	F Adult	Friendly and gentle girl who lost her home due to financial hardship. House trained, good with kids of all ages, friendly male dogs, and some cats. Great companion and good 'starter Mal". Very healthy girl, but prefer a calmer home.
Bear	M Adult	Big talkative boy from a neglectful home. Good with most friendly dogs of any size, house trained, and quite a character! Experienced home preferred.
Tony	M Adult	Nice boy who seems good with most dogs, often low key, is friendly and very affectionate. A great boy who just needs a good home and more experienced owner. Loves to talk!
Anita	F Adult	Beautiful fluffy girl with unusual blue color. Very easy tempered, gentle, friendly, well mannered, and does well with small dogs.
Meekah	M Young	Fun and lovable young boy who enjoys people and new adventures. Minds well, good with most dogs and even dog savvy cats. Good first Mal for new owners.
Balto	M Adult	Sweet natured and gentle boy who loves people, snuggles, and being part of the family. Playful with friendly dogs or either sex and even good with dog savvy cats. Prefer a stay home family or home companion.
Nanook	M Young	Very large and intelligent boy who may need some training due to size, but good with most dogs of all sizes and even cats? Shaved by prior owner (yech!) and will be a beautiful boy again soon. Prefer secure and experienced Mal or large dog home.
Cicero	M Young	Precious and talkative little boy from a neglectful home. He dances like a little deer, follows happily, and adores kids. He is cautious, but adjusts quickly and enjoys playful dogs. Cicero needs a multi dog home willing to work with his puppy attitude.
