2003: Rescued & New-homed Alaskan Malamutes

These Alaskan Malamutes and other dogs found their new homes through TAMR assistance. Most dogs are TAMR adoptions, while others (not all listed here) found new homes by help provided to private individuals, other rescue organizations, and local shelters. TAMR is very happy to have all these dogs find permanent homes with loving and responsible owners.

Kiara (Assisted)	18 mo F	Lovely and very social young girl who likes everyone, including cats! Energetic and playful with a sweet personality. Loves attention, obedience trained, and good in house.
Sheeta	10 yr F	Beautiful senior girl needing new home after owner moved. Good with cats and well behaved. (NOTE: picture taken Christmas 1997)
Ruk	2 yr M	Large and happy with a zest for life. Loves people and new adventures. A real character who loves kiddie pools, Worschestershire sauce, and chasing squirrels. Enjoys sofa snuggles and active play. Very smart and good companion for an active adult.
Vail	3.5 yr M	Sensitive and loving Mal mix recovered from neglect and malnutrition. Gentle snuggler who loves company and has a lot of playful spunk. Good with most dogs, including same sex and smaller size.
Elvis	8 mo M	He ain't nuthin but a hound dog! Small Catahoula pup lost in woods and found near death from starvation. Lots of fun and spunk with a loving nature. Gets along well with everyone, including cats and Malamutes!
Silver	Baby F	A pretty silver & white puppy from Juliet's rescue litter. Silver is the smallest pup and very pretty with dark eyes. She may be small, but Silver gets right in there and pushes for her place. Perky pup!
Tank	Baby M	Born in rescue to Malamute mother. Tank is a black & white puppy with one blue eye. He may be mixed with Siberian Husky and his markings are not as clear as his siblings. Tank is a big pup, confident, and looks like a tank!
Woowoo	8.5 yr F	Owner moved to assisted living and forced to give up her gentle life long companion. Fantastic with children and doesn't mind cats. Good around other dogs outside her own yard. Loves talking to her friends.
Sasha	8.5 yr F	Quiet snuggler, but can be an opinionated talker for attention and loves her cookies. Good with friendly dogs, ignores most cats, and prefers people. Excellent in yard, crate trained, good inside and on leash. Easy keeper with a fun and gentle personality.
Floyd	Baby M	Floyd is a very pretty gray & white pup! He has beautiful blue eyes and may be mixed with Siberian Husky. Floyd is a big, strong pup and very sweet natured. He will be a wonderful companion!
Fritz	Baby M	Fritz is a really pretty boy with dark eyes and his markings are clean and symmetrical. He is the smaller of the two gray & white boys, and the "medium" puppy of the litter. Fritz likes to drag the food pan around the box.
Clay	Baby M	Clay is a black & white puppy from Juliet's rescue litter. He is calm, smart and very affectionate. Clay is confident and not aggressive with his siblings. He is a very special pup. First to open his eyes. First to walk. First out of the box. Clay is first rate!
Trinity (Assisted)	4 yr F	Malamute mix dumped on Houston streets in Feb, taken in and homeless again in Aug. Just a big sweet pea with people. Prefer a single pet home with lots of love. Tranferred to Bay Area SPCA (no-kill facility!) and adopted!
Willow	8 yr F	Wonderful girl with a friendly attitude. Healthy, active, and well mannered. Good with some dogs, smaller dogs ok. Rides well, crate trained, good house and yard manners.
Samson	4.5 yr M	Active, gentle, and talkative boy with great Wrooo! Loves belly rubs and snuggling. Enjoys children, playful with friendly dogs, and well behaved. Has a sensitive personality and sense of humor. Prefer multi-dog or stable family without cats.
Kiyu	5 mo F	Sweet little girl who is soft tempered and affectionate. Calm and laid back for her age. Good with cats and playful with other dogs.
Sierra	5 yr F	Loving, sweet, and mellow who loves walks and attention. She is great with children, housebroken and well trained. Knows sit, stay, speak, shake, down and walks well on a leash. Prefer an only dog home with lots of love.
Ozzie	18 mo M	Younger sweetheart with obedience training. Calm, intelligent, playful, and ok with most dogs. Loves rides and walks. Can be a little aloof, but enjoys human company.
Noble	4 yr M	Well mannered boy with obedience, good on leash and loves rides. Very social house dog who enjoys human companionship. Loves belly rubs and weekly brushings. He may decide he loves his tennis ball to much to give it back during favorite game of fetch.
Brutus	4 yr M	Very pretty RED boy. Affectionate and intelligent. Gets along with females and loves to play. Good on leash, in house, and in yard. Happy at home, but can escape when ignored. Multi-abandonment history needing a stable family. He found one in Houston!
Zowie	3 yr F	Pretty Husky girl with one blue eye and one gold. Friendly, happy, and an easy keeper. Good house, leash, and yard manners. Good with friendly dogs and VERY respectful of cats. Now in a cat dominated home!
Sonny	14 mo M	He is just a typical big goober puppy. Gets along with other dogs. NO CATS please. Loves to play and needs someone with lots of energy. Needs some additional leash and obedience work.
Sassy	2.5 yr F	Pretty girl that was neglected when owner became ill. Cautious at first, but warms quickly. Calm, friendly and affectionate. Good on leash, in car, and inside. Seems ok with other dogs.
Tonka (Assisted)	4 mo M	Mal or Mal/X baby that is super friendly and just precious. Great with other dogs, is crate training, loves to play but can be a rowdy pup at times. Typical big pup now living in Houston.
Marley (Assisted)	18 mo M	Friendly young boy with lots of character. Playful with other dogs, good inside, and in yard. Loves people and life. Good with older kids. Now the king of his home in Houston.
Kahoba	12 mo M	Tossed from a truck and rescued off the street by Good Samaritan. Young, pretty, and on the smaller side. Good with people and small dogs.
Kaia (Assisted)	18 mo F	Found stray in Villa Rica, Georgia during Christmas holidays. Sweet girl with people, housebroken, playful. Ok with some other dogs, but no cats. Adopted in San Antonio.
Mikita	18 mo f	Very gentle dog and doesn't seem aggressive toward other dogs at all. Just wants loving and belly rubs. Very friendly to people, she has obviously been a house dog and well loved. Adopted in Dallas.
Chloe (assisted)	2 yr F	Pretty and friendly girl, good with children and small dogs. Very good inside, crate and obedience trained, housebroken. Calm and gentle, but prefer stable home without cats. Adopted in Sugarland.
Harley	2.5 yr M	Beautiful young boy and a real heart-stopper. Adores people and loves to play. Friendly with other dogs and good inside. Ok with cats. He is wonderful! Read more about Harley and see lots of great pictures on his page.
Mischa (Assisted)	7 mo F	Favorite hobbies are deer watching, walks/runs, chewing large bones, playing chase and "tug the rope", digging holes, and belly rubs. Good inside and plays well with other dogs. Needed a new home due to owner's child is severely allergic to dogs.
